5 Reasons Why Being Sick, SUCKS!

My immune system is the worst! While my family likes to blame me for not taking "better care of myself", I like to think that whether or not I bundle up like an eskimo, if I'm exposed to a virus- my body is just not strong enough to fight it off. Regardless of healthy eating and vitamins, one way or another, Imma gonna get sick!

While staying home and not doing anything but sleep, sounds like my cup of tea. When you are truly sick...your "day off" won't be great. Here are my reasons why being sick, sucks:
  1. Your whole body aches | It's as if you were hit by a bus or fell down the stairs in your sleep. Every time you move, the discomfort returns and no matter how you position yourself, you just can't seem to be comfy.
  2. Loss of appetite and taste | Food is just not as magical when you are sick- nothing tastes right and for the most part, you aren't even hungry 80% of the time. In those odd instances that you are hungry, swallowing is so painful that only warm liquids will have to do.
  3. Hot Flashes and Chills | The "do I have a fever" stage. When having one leg over the covers will not suffice, and you will literally take off every layer of clothing you were wearing, only to put it back on 2 minutes later.
  4. Runny Nose | THIS. is what I hate the most about being sick- having to walk around all day with a box of Kleenex, and braving the feeling of sandpaper on your nose. By the end of the week, you will look like Rudolph.
  5. Looking and feeling like the Walking Dead | Not only do you feel half dead the whole time, but people avoid and stay away from you like you were a zombie. At any point, you might turn and bite them...or sneeze.
Keep hydrated, stay warm and get plenty of sleep! It will be over soon :)

xoxo,

Natalie
